‘Damus Quatrains

In East Brunswick, Ohio, at the Two Brothers Truck Wash, the attendant stepped onto his back porch and found a canning jar that was left there. He opened the rusted tight lid to find rolled pages with writing in a language he’d never seen. In a self-induced altered state, the translation began. The next morning, this man—we’ll call him Teller to protect anonymity—found two quatrains that made little or no sense. As Teller sends these, I will post them.

The dark’ning light is deeper still,

As justice turns away.

We recognize the face we see,

As ‘t rises in the fray.

#54

The ‘trocity ‘ccomplished: Brazen, stern.

They never told us why.

The obelisk is standing not,

And weeping takes the sky.

Wow, these are so profound. I definitely think this is talking about the U.S.A.
